Ten easy steps to simple, hassle-free vehicle testing & registration:
  1. Enter Tasjeel lane which leads to check-in booth
  2. Hand Check-In Operator your registration card, or export/import/hiaza document, and receive 'Q' number
  3. Drive to any available test bay and park
  4. Remove valuables from car, leave key and registration card with Tasjeel inspector
  5. Go to Registration Point and wait in reception hall or café
  6. When 'Q' number is displayed, pay test fees at counter as directed. With the 'Passed' certificate issued, go to the typing counters and have your form typed.
  7. Take your Dubai Police 'Q' number from the information counter, then sit and relax until your number is displayed on the Police screen.
  8. Submit test certificate, typed form and old registration card for checking of fines and fees payable. Pay at cash counter
  9. Collect new registration card and date sticker from last police counter.
  10. Affix sticker on your number plate - and drive safely away!
  11. (If your vehicle has failed the Test, you must get it repaired and return for a retest within 31 days).
